Fitting Type

Recess: Measure the width and height of your window recess. We will manufacture the blind to fit snugly into this space.

Surface: Width and Height measure from the outer edge of your blind, including cassette and side-rails. Visible fabric will be a little smaller than these measurements.

Width

Width is measured in millimetres (mm). Blocout XL Blinds can be made between 400mm and 2400mm wide.

Recess: The three width measurements cannot differ by more than 20mm, and the middle width cannot be more than 2mm narrower than the top width. If your window does not fit these constraints, call our technical team for advice.

Surface: The three width measurements cannot differ by more than 1mm.

Height

Height is measured in millimetres (mm). Your blind will be manufactured with enough fabric to cover this height (plus a little extra). Blocout XL Blinds can be made between 500mm and 2400mm high.

Recess: The three height measurements cannot differ by more than 20mm. If your window is very uneven and does not fit these constraints, contact our technical team for advice.

Surface: The three height measurements cannot differ by more than 1mm.

Depth of Recess

If the Blocout XL Blind is fitted in a recess, the recess must be deep enough to mount the side-rails and cassette. Minimum depth of the recess is 90mm.

Measure Protect

Measure Protect guarantees your blind against inaccurate measurement. If your blind doesn't fit, let us know and we will collect and remake it to the new size.

Smart Remote

The BlociQ multi-channel remote control can operate up to 15 blinds individually or simultaneously. If you plan to operate your blinds via an app it is always recommended that a remote control is installed as a backup to ensure operation during wifi downtime or when a smart device has been misplaced.

Smart Charger

All motorised blinds will need to be charged to maintain operation. A Bloc Blinds charger is universal to all BlociQ blinds products and so one charger can be used in various locations throughout the home.

Pelmet

A pelmet is a fabric-wrapped board that can be clipped on to your Blocout XL's cassette as an extra decoration and finishing touch.

These are available in a range of fabrics, so you can choose whatever you like to complement your blind.

Aluminium Colour

The aluminium of your blind's cassette and side rails can come in silver or can be powder-coated in white.

Customer Reference

This is to help you keep track of which blind is which, should you order more than one.

Your customer reference will be shown alongside your blind in the website's basket, in your receipt emails, and will be printed on the blind's box on delivery.
