1Prevent wind damage to your BlocOut by keeping windows closed when the blind is lowered. Strong or sudden gusts can damage the blind and we recommend raising it fully when opening windows to circulate air.

  1. What is the difference between a BlocOut & BlocOut XL?

    BlocOut™ fits smaller windows up to 1800mm wide and 1500mm high. Different to the standard size BlocOut, the XL is designed for larger windows, fitting windows up to 2400mm wide and 2400mm high. With the XL you have the added choice of a chain operated system with child safe clips or motorisation, unlike the Standard size. Click here for our BlocOut XL range

  2. How do I measure correctly?

    We require 7 measurements so that this custom made blind can be perfectly fitted to your window with no light gaps. Measure from where you will be fitting the Blind. With the BlocOut we want you to have unrivalled levels of darkness. This unique system with bespoke side rails is designed to block out light and draughts.

  3. What is the difference between the Recess and Edge fit?

    Recess blinds are designed to fit within the window opening itself, you can position anywhere within your recess for flexibility due to the purpose-built 3-sided frame that will enable the blind to mount onto. Edge fit is designed to sit on the front edge of the recess, overlapping slightly on either side.

    Our BlocOut is very easy to install. We include an installation instruction manual with every order. You can also check out our How to Install videos for more details and our customer service team are available to answer your queries.

  5. Is the Bloc Out child safe?

    Our safe-by-design philosophy extends to our iconic and award-winning BlocOut blackout blinds. Our blackout blinds utilise a self-contained runner format paired with a push-in to operate handle mechanism. This removes cords from the blind completely, a key safety consideration when used in bedrooms and playrooms alike.

  6. What is best to use to measure correctly?

    We advise on using a measuring tape. Measure to the nearest mm to get precision fitting.

  7. What type of window does the BlocOut blind not fit?

    The BlocOut blind is unsuitable for victorian sash windows, angled recesses, inward opening windows or bay windows.

    We would recommend sending photos of these types of windows to our customer services team to check suitability.

Very good quality blinds Very good quality blinds. Delivered on time. We have the same model of Bloc Blinds ordered 5 years ago and they still work great.

So good, I bought another one I’m very pleased with my second set of Bloc Out Blinds. Perfectly cut to size, very easy to install with good video instructions.
They really are the very best blackout blinds - just brilliant and buy us a few hours of precious sleep between our toddler and newborn!

Genuine black out blind Genuine black out blind - we ordered the bloc out blind as the dog was waking us up at 5am each morning, I was a little apprehensive at first due to the cost but this was worth every penny we've been using it for around 6 months now and I'm about to order a second for the baby's room.
