Investing in your blinds is key to improving life for your family as better-quality sleep creates better days. There are so many blinds out there to choose from but personally we recommend installing one of our high-quality BlocOut blinds.
Thanks to custom siderails, thermal fabric and a rubber bottom seal, the BlocOut offers unrivalled levels of light and climate control. Our wide range of patterned and plain thermal fabrics come with a coated backing which helps to reduce heat loss by up to 43% in the winter, keeping fuel bills low. Similarly, the backing helps to reflect solar rays back outside during the summer, ensuring your home stays cool. All this while creating a dark and peaceful environment for you to drift off to sleep.
These qualities are what make our award-winning BlocOut blind the ideal sleep aid for young children, light sleepers, shift workers and daytime nappers. It is perfect for use in nurseries, bedrooms, TV gaming rooms, home cinemas and even photography dark rooms!
Once you’ve installed your new blind, you may be wondering how best to take care of it. Find some of our top BlocOut tips below.

Tilting the blind handle will release the brakes, allowing the blind to move smoothly up and down the siderails. Operating the blind without doing so will cause long-term damage to the brakes.

Keep your hands centred when moving the blind up and down to ensure even operation. Again, improper use may cause damage to the brakes which will affect the blackout quality of the blind.

Outside air creates a vacuum which will suck the side rail fasteners out of place and damage your blind. You should only open the window to ventilate your room when the blind is fully retracted. Opening your window when the blinds are drawn will also reduce the effectiveness of its thermal insulation value.

Should some dirty marks appear on your blind, we recommend lightly cleaning the area with a damp cloth and leaving to air dry. Do not use any cleaning solutions as this may damage the fabric.
